Traditional Postpartum Care
The Rebozo closing of the bone’s ceremony has strong roots in Mexico and areas of Latin America. In Mexico, it is called "Cerrar La Cadera" (closing of the hips) or a "Cerrada" (a closing). This ceremony is traditionally done after the first 6 weeks postpartum but can also be done months or years later. It is a ceremony to mark transition, helping you bring something to a close and welcome in a new beginning.
Closing of the bones Ceremony
Join us for The Red Tent, a monthly gathering in Draper, Utah, where women in all phases of life come together to connect, support, and nurture one another. Drawing inspiration from ancient traditions, we create a safe and welcoming space for those with wombs to share their stories, intentions, and wisdom.
Each month, we begin by getting to know one another, sharing tea and setting intentions for the evening. After this grounding ritual, we transition into the sweat lodge, where we embrace the healing power of three rounds of purifying heat medicine. In the lodge I guide us through gentle breath work, meditation, toning, and singing. Our time in the sweat lodge is always transformative. Following our journey, we share nourishing snacks.
Whether you're seeking connection, or simply a place to be heard, The Red Tent invites you to join our circle of sisterhood. Your presence is welcomed and valued.
